What actually syncs? Every qualifying Ontraport sale becomes a line-itemised Xero invoice, not a lump sum, with the payment recorded against it and posted to the account matching the gateway that took the money. Refunds become Xero credit notes that mirror the original invoice. Subscriptions and payment plans sync each instalment as its own clearly-described invoice. Your products, coupons, shipping and taxes map to the Xero items, accounts and tax codes you choose, and paying contacts are created or matched so you do not end up with duplicate customers. What if something breaks? Temporary failures retry on their own. Anything that genuinely needs a person lands in a plain-English review queue with one-click fixes, and duplicate invoices are prevented at several levels. If a connection drops, syncing pauses, tells you, and resumes when you reconnect.
Can I bring my history across? Yes. On first connect you choose a backfill window and your past Ontraport sales land in Xero too, not just new ones.
